"I am in the awareness business" ~ L

Lindsay is the CEO & Founder of The Overture Institute.  After years of self-reflection, she was able to rebuild her life, and has turned that work into a refined set of principles and considerations that form the foundation for The Overture Institute.

Lindsay leads The Overture Institute with its high integrity core values and powerful mission and its ensemble of expert guides and seekers.  Through specific courses and questions she designed to explore, followed by the daily tools and community to support the work, the experts transform people’s lives.

The Overture Institute facilitates self-exploration through curated methods and subsequently provides the framework through which individuals and groups will show up differently in the world. The goal of Overture is to allow each person who is open and curious to explore for themselves how they can shift the way they live their lives, with the ultimate goal that they will be living in awareness and really living their life. Not the other way around.

Born and raised in a small liberal arts college town in Pennsylvania, Lindsay grew up surrounded by curiosity and music.  Reared from a professionally creative family, she pursued her talent and passion for music diligently and had a promising career as a musician.  Lindsay has performed at places like Michigan Opera Theatre, 54 Below, Joe’s Pub at The Public Theatre, and Rockwood Music Hall.  She has also sung for The Philadelphia Phillies and can be seen beyond the Hollywood Round on Season 11 of American Idol.  Music remains a daily part of her life.  She continues to enjoy contributing to the arts, while participating in creative projects and producing some of her own performances in New York City.

A firm believer in the importance of service, Lindsay has remained active in both the music and animal rights communities while building The Overture Institute.  She has volunteered for numerous organizations and has enjoyed returning to her alma maters to speak on the work of Overture and career growth.  Lindsay has served on the board of New York Singing Teachers’ Association and has volunteered her time on behalf of The Farm Sanctuary, Mercy for Animals and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.  She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

Lindsay has also translated her passion for the arts, education and service into a fulfilling career off the stage, as well.  She has held leadership roles for respected not-for-profit institutions such as Northwestern University and The Natural Resources Defense Council.  There she honed her management, executive, and business skills, adding to the breadth of knowledge and expertise for her to launch her own institute and movement.

She is a frequent speaker to groups, large and small, on topics from wellness and self-awareness to making it in music to finding your own talent.

Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Music Performance, Opera Concentration from Ithaca College and a Master's of Music in Vocal Performance from The Manhattan School of Music.
